A Personal Note from UFCW Local 663 President Matt Utecht:
I would like to personally share this prayer with our membership. It resonated with me when I was at church on Sunday, January 5, which was the Sunday of National Migration Week.

Prayer for Migrants
God of Mercy,
We entrust to you all those who are leaving their homeland in search of a better life. Guard them on their perilous journey and guide them to a place of safety and hope.
God of Love,
Wake us from the slumber of indifference, open our eyes to their suffering and inspire us to share with them the blessings we have received from your hand.
God of Compassion,
Welcome all the women, men, and children who have died after leaving their homelands. Though many of their graves bear no name, to you each one is known, loved, and cherished.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Despiertanos de la pesadilla de la indiferencia, abre nuestros ojos a su sufrimiento e inspíranos a compartir con ellos las bendiciones que hemos recibido de tu mano.
Dios de Compasion
Da la bienvenida a todos los hombres, mujeres y niños que han muerto por abandonar su pais de origen. Aunque muchas de sus tumbas no tienen nombre, para ti cada una es conocida, amada y apreciada.
