Things to do along the North Shore

Lutsen Mountain (located just one mile from Ours Resort) has the best ski slopes, cross country ski trails, and snowmobiling in the Midwest for winter visitors, along with an alpine slide, mountain biking, and gondola rides.

There are a variety of historical sites to see, as well as unique shops to browse in the area. Ours Resort is just 18 miles from Grand Marais, a lovely town with something for everyone.

If you like golf, try one of the best courses in the state - Superior National Golf Course in Lutsen.

There are a number of great places to dine in style “the North Shore Way.” (Jeans and a sweater or flannel shirt will do just fine!)

For those of you who enjoy fishing, there are many lakes for great walleye and northern pike fishing, along with miles of streams and rivers for rainbow and brook trout. Lake Superior offers great opportunities for lake trout and salmon fishing.

If you like wild and rugged natural beauty, there are numerous state parks and hiking trails in the area for the active person who wants to explore the backwood roads. Watch for bald eagles, deer, moose, and other animals as you wind your way long the trails.

Happy Travels!
